This Chapter was made for Multiplayer-Newbies. It explains in short the main Funktions of Two-Worlds Multi-Player-Mode.
1. The Beginning
In the Main-menu, clicking the Button "Network" will open the Selection of availible Game-Servers:
Here you can choose one of three Game-Servers: WarNet Europe, WarNet America and WarNet Europe 2. Most of the german Players will be found on WarNet Europe (first Game-Server). After choosing your Server click "connect".
2. Selecting / generate Character
Here you can select existing or generate new characters for PVP or RPG, delete existing chars and exchange items between you chars and your itembox. Generating a new char cost you 500 gold. You can delete a RPG-char if you have at least 2 of them availible.
3. Selecting town
The map on the left side shows the availible towns (lobbys). Notice that when you start with a new RPG-char, you will have only access to Tharbakin. The other two RPG-towns will be accessible one-by-one by finishing all maps in the previous town. Ashos is a town only to play PVP. On the right side of the screen you see all availible servers of the selected Town/Lobby (e.g. Tharbakin 1-10). Furthermore here you can see, how many Players are currently on each server.
4. The Lobby
If you have selected a server (e.g. Tharbakin 1) you will enter the town. Here you can trade, chat, play, train Skills. By pressing "ESC" all availible Game-options will be shown:
The following Options are availible:
a) Chat (shortcut F11):
The Chat-Menu will open. On the left side of this window you can choose between 3-4 different chat-channels. Also you can create a new Chat-Channel of your own. All present Chars of the selected Chat-channel will be shown on the left side. Double-clicking on one of the shown Usernames will display the Profile of each Player. On the right side of the Window you can read the Chat-text of the selected Chat-channel. You can enter your text in the botton-line of the window. You can open the Chatline too by simply pressing "Enter" anytime in the lobby.
b) Create Game or enter a existing Game (shortcut F12):
In this Menu you can start new RPG- and Arena-Maps or you can join an existing game. In the upper-right corner of the window the availible RPG- and Arena-Maps will be shown. RPG-Maps are only accessible one-by-one by finishing the preveous map. Arena-Maps are accessible all the time. At the left side you can see the active Maps (green) witch you may join. Opened, but not started yet, Sessions are marked in white. By clicking once on one of the shown sessions, the Properties and Names of the active Players will be shown below.
-RPG-Maps
Here you can play Quests in classical role-playing-style to earn experience and improve you Char. You must play the Maps one-by-one to get access for the next one. Simply select one availible Map and click "Create". If you want to allow other players to join your game now or later, you must activate "join new players".
-Arena
If you select Arena you can choose farious Game-Modes. Also you can determinate this Game as a "Guild-Game" (in Guild-Games you play for Guild-Points; they are only availible between different Guildmembers).
After selecting your Game the following screen will be shown:
Here you can wait for other Players that may want to join your Game (if you activated "join new players" further). The participating Players will be shown in the lower-right of the screen. The number before the Name represents the "ping" of your opponent (the lower - the better). To start the Game press F12 or STRG-F12 to chancel.
c) Player-Statistics:
Here you can see the Rankings of the best Players in-game (only for PVP, Ashos).
d) Guilds:
Here the Rankings of the best Guilds in-game will be shown, based of the "Guild-Games" each Guild made. Double-clicking on the upper titel will change Sorting. In the Window you may leave your Guild or create one of your own.
e) Preferences:
Will open general Game preferences.
f) Choose Town:
Here you get back to town.
g) Chancel:
closes Window.
